The Thoroughbred originated in England and is a horse breed best known for its use in horse racing. The origin of the Thoroughbred may dates back to Arab and Barb horses that were introduced into England. Physical appearance includes Tall, slim, athletic horse. They usually have a height in between 64 inches and weighing about 1,000 pounds. The average life span is 25-28 years.
